I… am so torn about this whole conversation happening about the Python conference incident, in which a woman overhead sexual jokes, snapped a photo of the offenders, and tweeted it.

Thoughts?  As a woman in tech, it’s a tough atmosphere, but I also don’t condone public shaming in most cases.

1. fancylibrarian said: One thing that’s not okay no matter what: taking a picture of someone and without their permission, putting it on the internet. Doing that totally overrides any justified moral outrage she felt.
